Lucy Elkiss is a cellist with a reputation for innovative and expressive playing. Studying under jazz violinist Omar Puente enabled her to develop a unique approach to the role of the cello in folk ensembles, combining improvisation with a deep love of traditional music. She has performed and recorded with instrumental ensembles and singer-songwriters across a range of genres.
